Education.
From 2006 to 2012, we implemented a MBELENI Scholars program that extended support to 80 children (56 refugees 24 nationals from host communities) in schools across Uganda. This programme was financially supported by proceeds raised from a marathon run by one of the founder members, Professor. Sarah Dryden-Peterson and committed individuals in the United States and Canada under her the mobilization. https://www.gse.harvard.edu/faculty/sarah-dryden-peterson. These scholars have since finished different levels of education and are now happily living their lives and supporting their families.
