Kyohairwe Sylvia Bohibwa, Executive Director.
Sylvia, a Co-Founder Member of the Mbeleni Foundation, leads the organization with passion and a strong commitment to human rights. She is a humanitarian and a researcher with over 15 years of experience in social and health research and NGO work. She is a proficient Project Planner and Manager, Social and Policy Researcher, Entrepreneur, and Community worker. Her dedication extends to less privileged populations, including Refugees, Women, Girls, Children, and Youths, where her work as a Human Rights Activist and Policy Researcher brings about positive change and advancement. Sylvia is excited to be the Executive Director of Mbeleni Foundation.

Nzaaro Annet Byamugisha, Legal Advisor.
Annet is a professional Lawyer with LLM and LLB (Makerere) and Diploma in Legal Practice. She also has an accumulated experience as an advocate of High Court in Uganda and an investigator/legal researcher on abuses. Annet has an experience in policy, advocacy, investigations, research and has excellent understanding of current national and international debates relating to conflict and resilient.
I bring into MBELENI the legal expertise in reference to good governance, human rights and laws/policies regulating refugees in Uganda (and internationally).
Mukiibi Ivan Kimpanga, Project Officer
Ivan is a dynamic humanitarian, educator, and researcher, offers Mbeleni his extensive experience in psychosocial support, education in emergencies, and leadership. He's collaborated with major development partners like USAID, European Union, OXFAM, and UNICEF. Ivan holds a Philosophy degree and a diploma in Social Studies and is pursuing a Master's in Higher Education. He's known for his emotional intelligence, spirituality, and a deep cognitive acuity, and he thrives in team-oriented environments.

Lugumya Musa, Finance officer
Musa has a blend of analytical prowess and financial acumen. He is a professional accountant with a CPA designation and a Bachelor of Science degree in Statistics. With 15 years of experience in the field where he has deveveloped a comprehensive skill set that encompasses financial analysis, risk assessment, and strategic planning. Musa has Professionally, Musa has successfully navigated various financial landscapes, from multinational corporations to startups, providing insightful guidance and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. His expertise extends across financial reporting, budgeting, taxation, and audit preparation.

Nyakato Zuela Linda, Programe Officer
With over five years of progressive experience in administration, human resource management, and communications, Elizabeth has developed strong expertise in organisational coordination, staff management, and strategic communication. She currently serves as the Communications Officer at Mbeleni Foundation, where she leads the organisation’s communication strategies, supports advocacy initiatives, and ensures effective visibility and documentation of programmes and impact stories.
Prior to joining Mbeleni Foundation, Elizabeth worked with Leading Boards Africa as an Administrative and Human Resource Officer, where she managed recruitment, employee relations, payroll and benefits administration, and office operations. She also served with Muntu Agencies 'U' Ltd as an Administrative Officer and earlier as an Administrative Assistant, gaining valuable experience in office management, event coordination, budget monitoring, and administrative systems.
Elizabeth’s career reflects a strong commitment to organisational excellence, effective communication, and the empowerment of teams and communities through well-coordinated development initiatives.
Raymond Wagaba, Volunteer Legal. Volunteer
Ampumuza Joyce, Project Officer Women in Coffee, Bushenyi District.
Joyce is a seasoned social worker dedicated to improving the wellbeing of individuals and communities. With over a decade of experience in community development, advocacy, youth and women economic empowerment, training and mentorship, Joyce possess hands on skills in sexual and Reproductive Health, HIV/AIDS and economic empowerment/entrepreneurship program implementation and management.
In addition to volunteering at Mbeleni Foundation, Joyce has worked with various communities to enhance awareness and support for individuals affected by HIV/AIDS, SGBV and adolescent growth and maternal health issues. She has led numerous advocacy campaigns, ensuring that the voices of women, young people and those living with and affected by HIV/AIDS, are heard and their rights are protected.
Giramatsiko Judith, Women in Coffee Coordinator.
Judith is a volunteer ccordinator at Mbeleni Foundation responsible for community mobilization of women in coffee in Bushenyi District, western Uganda.

Aida is the community mobiliser for women in fish business in Mulungu Fishing and landing site, central Uganda.
Natwijuka Sarah, Youth coordinator
Sarah is a graduate from Makerere University with a bachelors degree in Procurement and logistics Management. She is so passionate in socio-economic-empowerment of young people. The passion inspired her to volunteer with Mbeleni foundation as a youth ccordinator.
