
Kyohairwe Sylvia Bohibwa, Executive Director.
A co-Founder Member of Mbeleni Foundation, Sylvia is a self-motivated and result oriented Human Rights activist currently leading the team at Mbeleni Foundation. She is a Project Planner and Manager, Social and Policy Researcher, an Entrepreneur and a Community worker with background in Human Rights. Her combined work experience of over 15 years in social and health research and NGO work, inspired her to volunteer with local growing NGOs.
Sylvia is a Manager and an Administrator who is dedicated to the well-being and advancement of others. Sylvia is a proficient Human Rights Activist, an Action and Policy Researcher who brings a difference to the well-being of less privileged populations of Refugees Women and girls, Children and Youths.

Bernadette Busingye Babishangire: Programes Manager
Bernadette is a trained teacher with Masters in Teacher Education, University of Manchester, UK and a Bachelor of Arts in Education, Makerere University- Kampala.
She also has certificates in numerous disciplines including, Certificate in NGO Management: Challenges facing the future; in implementation of child-to-child approach to health education and health approach; Sexual Education and Reproductive Health for Unmarried Young people in African countries, South of the Sahara; in Management; in Adolescent Sexual and Reproductive Heath (ASRH) Core Facilitators Training; Health Sector Reform; Home Based Care for PLWAS; M&E; training on dealing with Addiction in the youth in the 21st Century and Life Skills Education.
Bernadette has a long experience of teaching in secondary schools, University lecturer and training teachers at University and at national Teachers Colleges using micro-teaching to sharpen the trainees teaching skills, Facilitation, Research, Mentorship, Monitoring and Evaluation Curriculum Development/ review, Teaching practice and student placement supervision, Student assessment and marking skills.
In addition to her other many skills she brings experience of Life skills and child to child approaches in training, Networking, Partnership formation skills, Project implementation to Mbeleni Foundation.

Nzaaro Annet Byamugisha
Is a Lawyer with LLM and LLB (Makerere) and Diploma in Legal Practice. Has an accumulated experience as an advocate of High Court in Uganda and an investigator/legal researcher on abuses. Annet has an experience in policy, advocacy, investigations, research and has excellent understanding of current national and international debates relating to conflict and resilient.
I bring into MBELENI the legal expertise in reference to good governance, human rights and laws/policies regulating refugees in Uganda (and internationally).

Mukiibi Ivan Kimpanga
Ivan Kimpanga Mukibi is a highly self-motivated humanitarian, tutor, writer, researcher, coach and mentor with a wide range of experience working on psychosocial support, rehabilitation, Training of Trainers (TiCC/INEE: Education in Emergencies), teacher educator and instructional material designer. He has done qualitative and quantitative research designs and analysis at different levels. Ivan brings to Mbeleni a rich experienced in leadership and management of people, organizations and institutions ranging from those that offer Social and Economic empowerment, to those that are purely educational oriented (Kindergartens, Primary Schools, and Higher Education Institutions). He has worked and collaborated with development partners such USAID (through OVC/DSP, SCORE, SKY projects), European Union- OXFAM South Sudan (BRiCE project), UNICEF (AVSI-ECW project in Palabek Refugee Settlement).
In his own words, Ivan says: “I am endowed with emotional intelligence, spiritually grounded, and bear a highly cognitive acuity. I love team work and I am a people person”.
Ivan has a Bachelors degree of Philosophy from Pontifical Urbaniana University, Rome and a Diploma in Philosophy and Social Studies from Uganda Martyrs’ National Major Seminary- Gulu- Alokolum. He is currently pursuing a Masters of Higher Education (Research and Innovation) - Makerere University.
